Who Here Just Wants to “Earn Some Money”?

@keydah_keys I know! I felt that sinking feeling in my stomach when I noticed the usual link to the sub was not there any more. I even logged out and back in a couple of times before I would accept it. Lol.
a bunch of people probably reported you , indeed. And then you're just BAM, gone, without a reason why or no possible appeal.
Hey Lizzy ... yeah I had noticed a few more reports on posts and comments recently. Maybe that triggered a manual review. We'll never know!
I once placed a negative review on Trustpilot, and Kyle just reported my review
I wrote one negative review on the sub and after it ranked #2 on Google I got all paranoid that someone from that company might report the sub. That's the problem when you're on page 1 ... everyone can see you!

I think the only other negative review on there was the WA one, which was brutally honest and ranking #1, as seen in the screenshot above. It was also getting some good engagement. Guaranteed that was on Lyle and Charson's radar.
and "Jaaxy"? no one ever heard about that tool lol !
What do you mean? That is the most advanced keyword tool on planet Earth, if not the entire universe 🤣
It probably is better if you would create a new subreddit, to mention it here
😉
also: wow. I googled WA review as well, just now, it was a long time ago that I did that. Not much positivity on the first page, is it?
The truth shall set you free ... lol

@rohanm I know that feeling! (when my Facebook was hacked)
Lyle and Charson's radar.

"Lyle and Charson" 🤣 🤣 🤣

Yeah, that was a good article. 100% it was brutally honest. Whoever wrote it must have known what they were talking about 😉 Wished someone had saved that review though, since I can't seem to find it archived anywhere, unfortunately.

To be fair though, we've got a decent number of 'cafe' members, that I wouldn't be surprised if one of the owners of WA or their subordinates were here.

I'm probably going to forget, but if you want to try to help me grow this forum using your AI generating article Kung-fu, I've got an idea that may work (I've been experimenting with this idea with two other sites, and it's been working well. We'd only need Diane to help run the Pinterest side of things if she was interested.). But if you want know more, then DM me, since there are too many eyes in this forum.... LOL

@andy Did somebody call my name? Yep, I’m interested!

Yeah I had a good look this morning even tried the WayBack Machine but no luck: https://web.archive.org/web/20250725053019/https://www.reddit.com/r/WeReviewedIt/comments/1hhc318/wealthy_affiliate_review_how_i_lost_1000s_of/

I think I know who wrote it and they're a DMC member so I'll reach out.

@andy what what, forum, making it grow, wait, can we help eachother lol!

@rohanm I recently created a Reddit community but can’t figure out how people find it so that they can join. Is there something I’m missing?

@gtrman15 Hey Steve,

Great question and apologies for the delay responding ... I've been away for a bit.

So, the reviews sub got up to around 450 members I think (but very little engagement on most posts) before the axe was wielded.

I used to often ask myself why people were joining a sub which consisted entirely of AI generated reviews ... maybe some actually found the content useful (they were pretty good reviews, even if I do say so myself ... lol). I know some other members were just repurposing the content and posting on other subs (probably bots).

Reddit don't make it easy to find info on this but here's a few key things I learned with the TL;DR being: People won’t really stumble on your community until it has some life — your best bet is to seed it with content, invite a few friends, and share the link directly.

 • Search visibility: Double-check your community settings under Community type. Ensure it's set to “public” (not restricted or private).

 • Age and activity: Brand new subs (especially with no posts, members, or moderation history) often don’t rank in search right away. A few posts, comments, and some organic engagement help it show up.

 • Parasite SEO tactics: use tools like Keywords Everywhere to identify SEO keywords with traffic that you might rank for. Use keywords naturally in the title and early paragraphs. Use GPT to give you more semantic keywords to naturally increase topical relevance.

 • Sharing the link: The fastest way to grow early on is to directly share your subreddit link in relevant spaces — crosspost to other subreddits that allow promotion (check their rules) and share on social media.

 • Discover tab (mobile app): Reddit sometimes recommends new communities to users based on their interests, but this only kicks in after the subreddit has some activity.

Lastly, another thing I discovered on mobile is if someone comes across your sub via Google or another search engine, Reddit insists they install the app before the post is displayed.

Once you gain traction and have some visibility (it took about 6 months for the reviews sub) this condition is removed and the search engine user is directed to the post without the need to install the app. Obviously, you get a big traffic boost when this happens!

Feel free to DM me your sub and I can have a quick look for you.

Good luck :-)

Hey everyone!

How come I don't see Partha's original post?

I click on the title, see for a second that Partha wrote something, and then it disappears and just see the responses to the post.

@zarina Here you go! https://digitalmatrixcafe.com/community/postid/656/

That link should take you directly to his very first post on this long forum thread. Let me know if that doesn't work :)

@andy it worked! Thank you, Andy. Partha being Partha with his loooong posts hahaha

@gtrman15 Hey Steve, thanks for posting the sub. The basics all look good.

I did a quick analysis with GPT ... https://chatgpt.com/share/68a188f5-6248-800f-927f-397c484b5404

@rohanm This really helps, thank you. I’ve already made some of the changes because of what you shared.

@zarina I miss those 'long Partha posts' !!

Good to see you here in the Cafe. I hope you're doing well :-)

@gtrman15 Glad it helped Steve.

I had a re-read of the GPT session I shared and it honestly blows my mind every day, this AI thing.

Tell it to be a Reddit SEO expert and it just delivers!

@rohanm I do, too! And likewise, Rohan, hope you’re doing well yourself :slight_smile:
Glad I backed everything up now

Sorry to hear about that man, I can imagine that sinking feeling in the stomach :(

I'd love to hear that review, is there a way I can perhaps read on WayBack machine?

Andy has already shared the general sentiment most of us are feeling about the platform, but would like to read yours (your captivating title worked on me! HAHA)
