Amazon Web Services Outage

So, hopefully, this will have been resolved by the time many of you read this, but it just goes to show how much we rely on the internet!

Many of the world’s biggest apps and websites have suddenly stopped working properly amid a huge internet outage.

The problems appear to be related to an issue at Amazon Web Services, which offers infrastructure that underpins much of the modern internet.

Here's the current list:

Snapchat, Ring, Roblox, Clash Royale, Life360, My Fitness Pal, Xero, Canva, Amazon, Amazon Web Services, Amazon Music, Prime Video, Clash of Clans, Fortnite, Wordle, Duolingo, Coinbase, HMRC, Vodafone, Playstation, Pokémon Go, Strava, Trello, Slack, Flickr, IMDB, Peloton, Playstation Network, Zoom, Wordle.

Woah!

Vodafone went down recently and I was offline for 5 hours or something ... bliss 🤣

Thrivecart and Pinterest are still down for me. Canva has been finicky for some of my team members and some of our connections with Slack don't seem to be working. So there still is an outage issue (at least here on the East Coast). And about 10 minutes ago, I just got an email letting me know I should migrate to AWS too, lol.

It's been absolute bedlam today! Lol.

I noticed yesterday (On Monday) even Medium was down.

@michalb sadly enough, all the systems at my workplace stayed online!

An unusual side effect of the outage!

@diane Yeah, I saw this headline somewhere else. Crazy how even some things we might consider normal now-a-days could be disrupted with a web outage like this.
