Bing's Meta Descriptions are Better Than Google's

Hi everyone,

Months back, my website was declared clinically dead by Google and at the same time, my impressions were increasing on Bing. Since then, I started liking Bing more — but I admit I still use Google as my default search engine, although that's very likely to change soon.

Anyway, I just found out that Bing's auto-generated Meta descriptions are actually impressive. I'm assuming they use their Copilot to do it. Just thought I'd share this with you.

Here's an example from one of my articles. Compare it with Google's (screenshot in comments below)

Wow! I totally agree. Bing is way ahead there.

I've switched to Edge and Bing as my defaults in my very own little protest at Google's nonsense. Just need to get rid of the Chromebook now.

Apparently now in the US, AI search is now also above anything else in Google? So google will scrape all content from websites for their AI, without actually linking to the content created by others. Sigh.

@yusuf - I was surprised when a friend of mine searched for my website on Bing, only to see it on first page # 1 or 2, (I don't recall). Totally fascinating because I am rarely on Bing.

And Google? Ha! I don't 'Google' when I search...lol.

There are other ways to get noticed, and if you ain't seen on Google, its time to try other methods.

That's my story at this time...grin.

Oh I use bing for that very reason and their Ai Co-pilot.

This time, you said it, I didn't. Google is losing the war. Their problem is that they do not know who they want to be. Do they want to be a search engine? Do they want to be an AI Bot Answer machine? Do they want to be a Door-to-Door salesman?

Money Follows Mastery and right now Google is not mastering anything!

Gemini is behind Claude, ChatGPT, and Bing for AI. Bing is still doing searches the way it was intended, and Amazon will eat its lunch for being a Door-to-Door sales machine.

I want Google to focus on getting Search right, leaving AI to AI, and sales to sales.
