Can WA just do this?

So I have transferred my three sites quite some time ago to WPX, but my domains weren't expired at all.

Yesterday I got this mail from Kyle:

"

Hi Lizzy,

The following domain that you have created a profile for at Wealthy Affiliate does not have DNS set up.

africafevers.com

This means that your domain is not using the webspace and we will be removing the webspace in 10 days. This will also remove the domain from your domains list.

If you wish to use the hosting at Wealthy Affiliate for africafevers.com, then all you need to do is point the DNS to WA hosting servers by editing the DNS/NameServer options on your domain registrar (where you purchased the domain).

Here is a tutorial on how to point your Domain to WA Hosting Servers if you need a hand with this:

The Wealthy Affiliate Nameservers are as follows:

Primary Nameserver: ns1.mywahosting.com

So, all three of my sites are hosted elsewhere, for sure, I have no clue why Kyle now comes up with this.

The part that worries me though is this sentence "This will also remove the domain from your domains list."

Do you interpreted this like I do, that they will get rid of my domain?

All of that WHILE I STILL AM PAYING FOR IT?

I answered his mail by saying that this site as well is hosted elsewhere and that I don't know why it still shows as hosted on their platform. ( see screenshot )

I also answered that they just can't remove my domain like that, as I still am paying for it until 15th of October. Just like my other 2 websites, one until November this year and the third until next year.

So I asked my current host to also switch ALL of my domains, as I'm angry yet again!

But first step I need to take is 'unlock my domains". https://kb.wpx.net/how-can-i-transfer-my-domain-to-wpx/ and you know what: ask WA to do that, but I GOT A F**ING SILENCE BAN AND CANT EVEN REACH SITE SUPPORT OR ASK QUESTIONS ON THEIR BLOODY PLATFORM!

I wrote back to Kyle to ask to Unlock my domains and that they can't do this just like that, as I am still paying for it.

I don't expect an answer, as at the end of his email he referred me back to the f**king platform, but I still need them to HELP me!

I just want OUT OF THERE WITH EVERYTHING! This is going to be the last time that they make me angry again with their SHITY SUPPORT!

(sorry for the rant lol)

Anyway, what would you do guys? thanks!

Bummer.

When I got banned a few years ago, I used their contact form from the main site.

I was able to get an answer that explained what happened (an apparent spam slam from the group that used to patrol posts), and I was restored.

For the time being, for me, WA hosting is sufficient, until I'm able to switch to a different web host for multiple domains.

It's all right, Andy got me sorted, I don't need site support but could change it myself on 'domains', but thanks!
Soooo weird though that Kyle send me that email, while he KNOWS that I can't 'ask on the platform', what the heck?

A review on FB?? That must have been it, then...grin.

A few years ago, there was a posse of people who would spam a comment or post, for the slightest thing. 10 spams within 24 git you banned.

The WA team was able to see who the spammers were, and they were told to stop, or else they would be banned permanently.

I'm glad things worked out for you!

Now I need to find a web host to handle all of my websites.

@ohnoo_not_her I'm reading this entire thing as a standard automated message sent out, i.e. it has nothing to do with you "causing trouble" LOL!!!

BUT

It appears to be a mistake, but this could be based on the hosting being turned on for africafevers.com

Okay, when I check WhoIs, it shows that the DNS are pointed at WPX, i.e. this means that WA is your domain registrar and WPX is your hosting provider.

Therefore, you need to point your domain nameservers to WPX hosting.

WPX provide THREE Nameservers, but WA's SiteDomains only allow for TWO Nameservers, therefore to have your domains pointing to your WPX hosting you will need to contact sHiteSupport who will do this for you (and even though they have now done this for multiple "members" they still seem to have difficulties in doing it straight away, etc.)

I'm guessing ALL the above has been done already for africafevers.com

HOWEVER

When I look at your screenshot above it shows hosting as "LIVE" for africafevers.com

So, in my mind that simply needs to be turned OFF (as it has been for your other two domains) then you would have never received the STANDARD email (Kyle's not even aware of it, it's an automated email that goes out).

So, it appears that your nameservers are pointed at WPX, but it still shows that hosting is "LIVE" (according to the screenshot) with WA, which means that the Nameservers need to be changed to WA, basically, the email you have been sent would be the STANDARD email that is sent to someone who has transferred hosting INTO WA, but forgotten to change the Domain Namerservers to point as WA.

Rather than replying, or getting involved, just switch your domains to WPX ASAP (plus, the price that you pay at WPX, inclusive of VAT, is around $17, but that renews your domain for TWO YEARS)

Personally, I just think it's a WA sHitSupport (oops, hahahahaha) mistake (I'm guessing you asked them to update your nameservers).

On a different note, none of us know for sure why you've been write-banned, but in much the same way as MANY of us others, you are probably viewed as a "troublemaker" (🤣🤣🤣🤣)

Basically, WA is full of UNSUCCESSFUL people, who I'm sorry to say as the main ones giving advice to newbies, and they are forever talking about how fantastic the WA training is (eeerm, if the bloody training was as briliant as you keep stating, surely you'd be getting more 5 visitors to your website per month, and earning more than $1 per 6 months!!!!!!!!!! I'm not gonna slag off WA again (I can't help it, it's sooooooooooo bad now 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣), because it WAS a GREAT place once, but when your main concept is around doing SEO by finding "Exact Match Keywords" (the fact that Kyle still states that QSR is your "Real Competition" clearly shows someone who hasn;t done ANYTHING of note in this business for close to a decade... what does he think is going to happen to all the articles that are ACTUALLY RANKING for your chosen keywords? Just because they didn;t use the EXACT keyword in the their title and meta description, when you write your article, all these TOP RANKING articles will suddenly move out of your way because you used the EXACT KEYWORDS"???? Surely, if SEO was that easy, then we would simply do what we were doing prior to 2010, EXAMPLE BELOW.

Just say, that you've enjoued your 5 years there, and you've learned a lot, however, you don't feel that it is the place for you anymore. State that you've been write-banned and now you've received a message about your domain, and this seems like an error, as the domain is still registered to WA, but the Namerservers are pointing to WPX hosting.

Unfortunately, this is all too much for you, and you'd like to leave, plus you feel that you're almost being forced out of WA (as it appears that you are viewed as a troublemaker).

So, even though WA specifically state "No Refund", as a 5-year member you aware that many refunds have been given over they years.

And as you feel as though are being forced out, you request a pro-rata refund of membership from October 2024 - March 2025.

Write it up, I'll check it and edit it if required, then send ot to Andy to forwarrd on to Kyle.

The last thing you need to be doing is stressing about all this crap, when realistically all you want to do is get back to working...

Plus, "Partha's $39/month GROUP Private Coaching" will be revealed soon (in case you've ALL wondered where I've been, 3 coaching clients at the moment, plus I've created content for the PRIVATE COACHING GROUP... I've written over 120,000 words in the last 2 weeks WITHOUT ANY USE OF AI... all from my Little Brain!!! Anyway, the point being, just move the domains over to WPX, you appear to have got an automated email because the Hosting is showing as switched ON for africafevers.com (obviously a WA error somewhere along the line), and write up an email (NICELY) requesting a pro-rate refund.

@partha thanks Partha, yeah will do that, just a quick response,need to get some work done today :-)

- yeah, clearly a mistake of WA, although a previous email from Kyle, he responded to MY response, so I don't think it is automated, as I have never seen this type of email, or another email that I got a few weeks ago about my hosting not being there. (it is the same mail address, so he reads responses!)

My sites have moved a long time ago, but my domains were set to renew (which I now turned too off)
And the coïncedince: I did just write a negative review on their Facebook page. I'm usually not a conspiracy theorist, but this all happened right after that review and right after I asked Jay to remove his video about the Amazon images. I really think they were tired of this troublemaker hahaha
And even if it WAS automated, it is utterly WEIRD that they give me a standard notice of 10 days, while the domain was to be renewed in 15 days, and it has always been set to renew automatically and never had an issue with it.

- I couldn't even contact site support anymore, because of the silence ban, even though my domains were still there, if it is automated, how are people supposed to get help?

- yeah, asked WPX if my Africa site was really ok hosted with them and they confirmed, and then Andy helped me out by pointing me to WA where I could just unlock the domains and get the transfer codes, did that straight away and site is on its way to get transferred, pfjuuu!

Well, will also transfer my 2 other domains, but I did still pay for one until November and the new till March, so I will see when I'll transfer those before I send a letter lol.

I got mad, but cooled down quite fast once Andy helped me figure out how to transfer hahahaha!

And yes yes, I know, it is far from a total recovery lol, I knew this from the start, (read your other message to), but all is going up in GA4 for many things, not just Google. So I'm the right track. But I'm tired and figuring out how I can have other things more done for me in the future by other people like you and Diane and I will surely join that group, thanks!
