I think we need to be looking at this. The software he uses is about $300 I think. We could organise a group share for the Parasite SEO group maybe?
The really sweet thing is once the CTR effects kick in and he ranks #1, the page starts receiving backlinks naturally ... nice :-)

CTR (Click Through Rate) manipulation is where you use a piece of software to emulate a human searching Google and then clicking through to your website and hanging around on there for a little while, maybe checking out another page or two or alternatively clicking back to the SERP or even just going somewhere else entirely, just like a human might do.
In the recent Google leaks it was 'confirmed' that this is a ranking factor which is used at Google and it seems Stewart has now also confirmed that it's quite a powerful signal.
I think it works well if you already rank on page 1 and you just need to give your page a boost to the top of the SERP. It needs to look natural so if your URL is buried on page 5, no-one is ever likely to click that and if Google starts seeing clicks in this case I'd imagine it's a massive red flag!
Does that make sense?
I have a VPS dormant atm (forgot to cancel it again!!) so I'd love to give this method a try.

Ok thanks, I get it. So instead of using his software, we could try clicking on each others posts and look around on each others websites, but only pages that already rank well on page 1 for certain keywords? Interesting! Curious how we would organize this?
Because in Google, my site is quite dead to, like 20 per day maximum, so about everything might seem suspicious at this point, no?
And what if you don't have a vps at the moment? I unsubscribed some time ago darn hahaha

Yes, I think you'd need to be ranking on P1 for a certain keyword to be able to try this. Maybe P2 at a push for a high volume keyword but you have to remember almost no-one clicks on to P2 of the SERPs. It's something I'd want to test on my parasite posts as opposed to my (also dead) website 🙂

Yep, CTR manipulation has pretty much ALWAYS WORKED.
And yes, this is something I tried to geta few of use together to do, but it's difficult to get all of us to agree to something on this forum 🤣🤣🤣
I think because we only have around 100 members, but many only visit here fleetingly, in fact, you can even look at the Private Reddit Group for Parasite SEO, we still have fewer members in the Reddit group than we do in the Parasite SEO course, i.e. not everyone will get involved with everything, some people may onky visit her once or twice a month, etc.
However, there are even services for CTR manipulation that only offer something like "5 branded searches and clicks per day for 20 days" (this wouldn't really work for compettiive terms).
But, ket's use Lizzy's website as an example of CTR manipulation.
The "simple" way of doing this is as follows:
Choose keyword and article, so as example, we take one of Lizzy's articles and then we choose the keyword attached to that article, let's say, "How to Build a Dollhouse".
Then today, myself, Diane, Andy, Rohan, and Nemira all go to Google at different times of the day and we place the following into Google search
How to build a dollhouse + everythingverysmall.com
This will provide the most relevant article for that keyword, then the 5 of us would click through to that article and spend about 5-10 minutes of that article. We would click a couple of the links, watch the video for about 2 minutes, and basically just READ THE ARTICLE.
Tomorrow, we get Mairead, Kristen, Paul, Genesis, and Pete
to make EXACTLY THE SAME SEARCH and then to do EXACTLY THE SAME THING on Lizzy's website.
We continue doing this for a period of 15-20 days using DIFFERENT PEOPLE every day (obviously this means that the IP address and the country of search origin will differ on multiple occasions)
A week or two later, Lizzy's article is ranking for "How to Build a Dollhouse" based on SEARCH POPULARITY (which WE HAVE MANIPULATED)
Yes, 100%, it's greyhat/blackhat, but it works, and if the process can be properly "hidden" you won't ever get punished for it.
The above was just an example btw, I'm not asking the people mentioned to get involved, because realistically we need at least 50-70 people to do this.
Sure, we have enough people on this forum already to do this, BUT, we can't get 50-70 of us together at the same time 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Plus, the reason for using software, if the SAME 50-70 people are doing CTR maniipulation, even on DIFFERENT WEBSITES every week, EVENTUALLY it will become obvious what we are doing, i.e. it will stop working or a website could even get punished for "manipulatitive practices".
We can definitely do it once, perhaps even twice (if we space it out to a month later), but we need to get 50-70 of us to agree and be prepared to take instructions (it literally involves making ONE SEARCH in Google, spending about 5-10 minutes on an article, and clicking a few links)

I bet we NEVER get 50-70 of us to agree (or someone will come and read the thread in about 2 months and say "I'll do it" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 BIT LATE!!!)

Ah ok ... I thought it would need to be the actual target keyword (minus the bit after the + sign above). I mean, no-one would ever make that search apart from people trying to manipulate rankings ... mwah ha ha.

Basically, if it's "likely" to happen then it's fine, if it's unlikely then you'll get smacked!!

The same can be said of a well-known weight loss website, or a well-known weight loss social media account.
I would include the "Lizzy example" as "well-known", she's had a website and al the socials online for years now and regularly gets traffic every month.
However, a one-month old website is clearly NOT gonna get many branded searches
Then again, a 2-year old website that still hasn't hit 1,000 visitors per month also won't get many branded searches.
If you're going to "manipulate" something in SEO then there should be a decent chance that it MAY happen without manipulation (Lizzy has a Facebook group, and 1000s of pieces of content on various platforms over the last 5 years, it is MORE likely that someone would do a branded search for Lizzy's site... whereas, all these Wackies proclaiming "it works" because they are ranking on page 7 for ONE article after 4 years... eeerm... sorry peeps, ain't no-one searching for your website online 🤣🤣)
