I have been trying to promote 2 videos of mine from my Youtube channel, but it has been almost a week, and nothing happens. No sign of them excepting my add, no email, nothing. Does it take this long for you to?

That's an interesting question, Lizzy, as I recently had the same issue.
I don't know if this is correct or not, but I tried to promote an older video and nothing happened, but when I promoted a video that I had just created, there was no problem. It took about 24 hours before the video went live.
On another occasion, I was trying to promote a video for my News/Christian channel that goes against the mainstream narrative. YouTube said that the video was not suitable for promotion or words to that effect. If I put that into Google Translate, it would mean that it goes against Google's narrative and everything has to line up with what Google thinks!

@RoyBretton I see, thanks for the explanation Roy! I still can't promote anything, nada. they don't want my money hahahaha. Anywayz, trying something else again, we'll see what happens :-)

I don't really know all the rules and regulations of promoting a YouTube video with paid ads, but that was certainly my experience. I would suggest trying with your next upload and seeing if they will accept your video for promotion.
