@mrdon Hey Don,
No, that's fine.
When I talk about "Medium" or Linkedin" here on the main forum, I'm talking in general, so it will generally relate to "parasiting" off Medium (or Linkedin) for website traffic.
However, when I talk about "Medium" and "Linkedin" inside the private Parasite SEO Group, I'm talking about unrelated product reviews, things that have nothing to do with your website, e.g. the parasite SEO course is your "side hustle" to make money from something that HAS NOTHING to do with your website.
I think another thing is, most people don't think BIG ENOUGH.
I mentioned in the Private parasite SEO chat yesterday that I currently have 4 Medium accounts.
TWO accounts are NICHE-SPECIFIC, include BOTH informational and commerical articles, and are mainly aimed at INCREASING TRAFFIC TO THOSE TWO NICHE WEBSITES.
I also have ANOTHER TWO MEDIUM ACCOUNTS that are solely for Parasite SEO.
They have mainly product reviews, in about 10 different niches, and when I found a product that I found quite interesting, I also wrote a few informational articles around that topic, and then linked to the main product reviews (but the Parasite SEO Medium accounts are mainly intended to get as many product reviews, in a variety of niches, written as possible).
The SECOND TWO MEDIUM ACCOUNTS are aimed at getting people to click on my affiliate links (in about 10 different niches) in order to make a purchase.
All it is, Medium is ranking extremely well at the moment (in fact, Medium can give you an inkling about how good your keyword research is. If you take what you think is a decent keyword, write an article around that keyword on Medium, if within about 3-4 weeks you can't find that article in at least the first 40 results, that keyword was MORE COMPETITIVE THAT YOU THIOUGHT<---also why I always say NOT to rely solely on keyword tool data, but rather, check Google search results with your own eyes), so take advantage of Medium, and use it for a variety of things.
So, have one Medium account that is niche specific and geared towards getting traffic to your website,
Start another Medium account solely based on the Parasite SEO Course.
Start another Medium account to TEST OUT A NEW NICHE BEFORE YOU START A WEBSITE (if you can't rank your articles on Medium, your new website is going to struggle to get off the ground).
Start another Medium account to do more product review Parasite SEO (you're experimenting, does Google seem to prefer one of your Medium accounts over the other?)
As I always say, most people who first come online DON'T THINK BIG ENOUGH (Yes, I can partly blame the "training" that most people have had over the last few years, i.e. make everything sound as easy as possible and as though everything is more or less done for you).
To give you an example, I've definitely written over 600 articles in a year BEFORE AI.
There are definitely people (now with AI) creating 3,000 articels a year WITHOUT coming across as a spammer (I'm sure there are people doing parasite SEO with 10 Medium accounts, 300 product reviews on each).
I don't say the above to put people off, but rather that you know what your "competition" is doing.
If you want it, prove it!! ;)
