How to Find What People Want Right Now: The ChatGPT Prompts and Step-by-Step Method (Part 2)

So, previously, I introduced the idea of creating digital products for a quicker income return, as opposed to waiting for a website to rank.

Now, I want to guide you through the process of deciding what to create. With ChatGPT prompts to help, of course!

This is not about asking, “What niche is profitable?

That question is too broad to be useful.

You are hunting for hot angles inside niches. Specific, urgent, current micro-problems that already have attention.

Here’s the step-by-step method.

Step 1: Pick a Broad Niche

Choose one you’re comfortable working in.

Make money.
Health.
Parenting.
AI tools.
Personal finance.
Pet care.

Do not agonise. This is a testing ground, not a life sentence.

Step 2: Pull Hot Angles

Use this prompt:

“List 15 specific topics inside the [YOUR NICHE] niche that are currently getting hotter right now. I don’t want general evergreen topics. I want angles that feel current, urgent, or unusually popular. Give me short reasons why each one is hot.

Read the list carefully.

You’re looking for topics that make you think, “I’ve seen people talking about that.

That’s heat.

Step 3: Filter for Buyer Intent

Popularity does not equal profitability.

Run this:

From that list, highlight the topics with the clearest buyer intent. For each one, explain what people are likely to spend money on related to it and why they’d spend it now.

You are looking for urgency. Frustration. Desire that is strong enough to act.

Curiosity rarely opens wallets.

Step 4: Rank the Top 5

Now refine it.

Rank the top 5 topics from that list by monetisation potential. For each one, give me: a commercial viability score out of 10, the most likely buyer (who they are and what they want), and 3 simple ways it could become a product someone would pay for today.

Force specificity.

Today.

Step 5: Go One Level Deeper

Once you choose your top topic:

Take [CHOSEN TOPIC] and give me 10 even more specific sub-angles or micro-problems within it. What are the exact questions, frustrations, or desires people have around this topic right now?

This is where real opportunity lives.

Not “weight loss.”

But “Perimenopause cortisol reset after 40.”

Not “YouTube.”

But “Faceless Shorts with AI voiceover in under 20 minutes.

Specific hot angles feel timely.

And timely solutions sell. The shift is simple.

Stop guessing what might work.

Identify where attention already exists. Filter for real buyer intent.

Build a tight solution. Sell it strategically.

That’s the method.

Next time, we move on to the BUILD/SKIP/TEST verdict and a simple entry point to get you moving forward with your first product.
