Mass communications are being sent out from OpenAI HQ this morning due to a breach in a third party web analytics tool called Mixpanel.
Across the web, security breaches seem to be coming thick and fast these days and while this breach doesn’t seem to affect ChatGPT users (we’re told) it might just be a good idea to change your passwords anyway. If you’re using the API, apparently of variety of data has been exposed on platform.openai.com
It looks like your name, your email address, your approximate location, your OS / browser type and organisation and user IDs saved into API accounts may have been revealed.
Not good!
